February 2004 - IMHX fair in Birmingham TOYOTA SETS THE STANDARD AT IMHX 2004

After Cemat, the IMHX fair in Birmingham (UK), is the second largest fair in materials handling in Europe. From the 2nd to the 4th of March, on a more than 580 sqm stand, Toyota will be providing a wide-ranging overview of its products and services to all industry professionals.

Brighter Thinking

Within the concept of 'Brighter Thinking', its stand at the fair in Birmingham -L70 in hall 19- reflects Toyota's position at the forefront of forklift technology and R&D, giving a state-of-the-art overview of its materials handling solutions.

 

Specific attention will be drawn to the recently introduced electric low level order pickers. Based on one chassis, focussing on improving operator efficiency, Toyota has introduced a core range of four trucks for first and second level order picking respectively for operator picking up to 1.7 and 2.8 m. 

Besides its new range of low level order pickers, Toyota also recently launched a new range of electric tow tractors to add to the existing engine model tow tractors. The new electric range has been designed to answer a need in factories and warehouses for an effective handling solution where loads are continuously moved over long distances. The additions include a 4 tonne stand-on, a 4 tonne sit-on and a 6 tonne sit-on.

 

At the stand, Toyota also showcases its wide range of Generation 7 warehouse equipment and counterbalanced forklifts, ranging from gas and diesel types to electric models. All of which reflect its world-renowned standards in safety, ergonomics, reliability and performance and are equipped with the latest in technology, such as SAS - Toyota's award winning system of active stability.
