July 2004 - Central European presence TOYOTA CONSOLIDATES CENTRAL EUROPEAN PRESENCE

Toyota Industrial Equipment, the world's leading manufacturer of materials handling equipment*, has increased its presence in Central Europe with the launch of Toyota Material Handling Czech and Toyota Material Handling Hungary.

Already operating as Toyota distributors in these countries, the businesses have been awarded the Toyota brand name in recognition of their successful commitment to the highest standards of quality and service. 

 

The move further strengthens the Toyota brand in these markets, with the launch of the new companies demonstrating Toyota’s commitment to its European network and its focus on the individual needs of the different European markets. 

 

In 2003 Toyota achieved sales of 18,000 units of materials handling equipment in Europe, representing a 20% increase on the 2002 figures. According to the President of Toyota Industrial Equipment Europe, Shinya Furukawa:
