Salon de la manutention

January 2006 - Celebrate with the global leader at salon de la manutention

Toyota will look at the best of the past, present and future as it celebrates 50 years of forklift innovation at Salon de la Manutention (Location 06, Stand E130, Halls 5 and 6, Paris-Nord Villepinte, France, 7-10 March 2006).

One of Toyota’s first ever forklifts, a 3FG will sit alongside the new electric Traigo and towing tractor ranges. The two new models are set to be the stars of the world leader’s 700m² booth at the exhibition that is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors.

The Traigo is a new range of advanced, 24 volt, 3-wheel electric forklift trucks that will provide a safe and productive solution in limited operating spaces. Ideal for tight spaces in factories, warehouses and shops, the Traigo is available in 1.0, 1.25 and 1.5 ton lifting capacities. The range can be flexibly manufactured to meet individual applications and customer specification needs.

The electric towing tractor range is designed to increase productivity in Just-In-Time operations, particularly factories and warehouses, where loads are frequently picked and moved over long distances.  It is available in three versions, including a two-ton stand-on, a
two-ton sit-on and a three-ton sit-on model.

Models from Toyota’s electric counterbalanced range will also be on display. Each of these electric products includes the Toyota blueprint “DNA” of industry leading technologies unique to Toyota. The System of Active Stability (SAS), AC² Power System and the Operator Total Care (OTC) package each ensure world leading levels of safety, comfort and productivity.

Warehouse equipment on the booth will include a reach truck and a low level order picker, demonstrating Toyota’s versatility in warehousing environments.

To complete the display, a range of engine powered trucks, known as the 7IC Platinum series, will be available for visitors to view. The Platinum packages ensure that Toyota IC models feature the highest standards of performance and comfort.

Andrew Elliot, Toyota Industrial Equipment Europe sales and marketing director, said:  “Toyota is the market leader in new materials handling technology and our stand at Salon de la Manutention will clearly reflect this.  We’re also there to give visitors an exciting experience, with our Formula One simulator car proving a great way for people to test their driving skills. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our booth.”
